Spend the morning learning about and making zines with mid-2000s punk zine creator, Tamara Scheiwe. Now an award winning graphic designer but forever a DIY zine creator and multidisciplinary artist, Tamara will guide you through a short history of zines before you embark on your own zine journey! Zines can cover a multitude of formats such as short stories or visual diaries, across a range of topics such as favourite animals or self-expression. With materials provided, you only need to bring your ideas and good vibes. 

For creative connection and community-focused workshops, our setup is an informal gathering around communal tables. Sharing of materials and ideas is encouraged! From lone wolves to social butterflies, all participants will have equal access to supplies and support. 

Under 18s will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Includes

  • Paper, paints, pencils, scissors, glue, magazines for collage, stamps, etc are included, however feel free to bring your own!

  • 1 x zine blank, ready to go! With access to other papers, you can create your own from scratch

  • In-person support throughout the workshop

  • Access to binding materials: stapler, cutting mats, hole punchers, etc

  • Access to an A4 scanner to prepare your final zine for print

  • "How to Make a Zine" zine!
